MY FUTURE CAMP'S FIRST OFFICIAL DAY 29.2.2020

Our first camp morning started at 8.00 am with plenty of breakfast.

After traditional flag raising we entered into our camp's theme, sustainability and recycling.

We went through our pre-assigment which included documenting our daily life. After that we viewed some videos conserning our topic and created a flag for our camp. We were presented how to recycle in the camp and had "a trash-task" in groups.

In the forenoon we had a walk at the nature trail and had a change to go ice fishing. Following our intense play of capture the flag, we all prepared dinner for the evening. Youngest campers had a change to go for a swim.

We also had a service concerning on going fasting, which 52 people attended.

Later on in the evening we relaxed in the sign of sauna, tub, ice swimming and evening snacks.

MY FUTURE CAMP STARTED FRIDAY 28.2 IN PARTIO JYLHÄ, KANNUS

Our scout friends from Csikrakos arrived by train to Kokkola and then by bus to Partio Jylhä. Now we all are in Partio Jylhä and Saturday we start with offical opening ceremonies.

Friday 28.2.

17.30 Arrive to Kokkola, Suvi and Sara picks you up with a bus

18.30 Arrive,  welcome dinner

- welcome program, sauna etc.

Saturday 29.2.

Zöld Péter and Vääräjoen Vartijat co-operation

" Zöld Péter Cserkészcsapat and Vääräjoen Vartijat have been in contact since 2015 and we have
carried out 2 exchanges together (2016 and 2017). After that we have kept in contact by regular skype-calls, mails and last summer 2019 Vääräjoen Vartijat joined the local scout camp in Transylvania.

There we talked about the current issues youngsters face nowadays and wrote a plan to carry out a longer project where we can concentrate on sustainability on the level of individuals. We want to make a change in the way we consume and use resources. Our goal is to see optional ways of consuming, purchasing and learn different ways of using the resources of the Earth. We do believe that every change starts in individuals and we want to make that change happen, because we feel it will help our community in the near future.

In this project we will have 2 camps, first in March 2020 and second in July 2021."
